The rules to know
- The CAD 23,448 figure rose from CAD 22,895 on 1 September 2026.
- Accepted proof includes a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a Canadian financial institution.
- Bank statements from the past 6 months, scholarship letters and other documents are also accepted.
- Quebec has its own amounts, which are not covered here.
